Toothbrush swallowed as woman chatting on cell phone

A 25-year-old woman accidentally swallowed a toothbrush while talking on her mobile phone on September 7 and was rushed to a hospital in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province to have it removed surgically.

The woman surnamed Jiang was brushing her teeth when she got a call. She talked so excitedly on the phone that the toothbrush slipped down her throat and landed in her stomach. It took doctors one and a half hours to pull it out, Chinanews.com reported today.

Doctors warned people not to put anything in their mouth while talking so as to avoid such accident, the report said.
