Ride accident kills 2 at Chinese amusement park

Two visitors died and another two were injured after falling off a pendulum ride at an amusement park in east China's Zhejiang Province on Friday, local government said.

The accident happened at about midday when five people fell off a pendulum ride at Longshan Amusement Park in Pingyang County. One survived without injury, the county government told Xinhua.

A witness said the ride began to elevate and swing before all the riders had fastened their safety belts.

Authorities are still looking into the cause of the accident.
