Boy confesses to killing baby sister in Xi’an

A 14-year-old boy confessed to killing his 18-month-old sister on Sunday in Xi’an, capital city of Shaanxi Province, Chinese Business View reported.

According to the report, the boy confessed to police that he had told his grandmother to leave the family’s home on Sunday afternoon in Xi’an’s Tanjia Village. Afterward, he grabbed his baby sister by the throat before covering her head with a quilt, the report said. He then killed her by stabbing her with a kitchen knife, China Business View said, citing the police.

Police officers added they are still investigating why the boy killed his sister.
