Alarming HIV, syphilis cases found among workers returning from overseas in neighboring Province
SIXTEEN HIV infections and 224 syphilis cases were found among workers in neighboring Jiangsu Province, who were arranged by various agent companies to work overseas, during a free health exam program which kicked off beginning of this month, China News Service reported today.
All the patients confirmed were males. And wife of one of the HIV-infected workers was later also tested as HIV-positive.
The local quarantine authority said all the patients said they had had paid sex service or unsafe sex experiences while working overseas.
