5.9-magnitude quake hits Japan

A 5.9 magnitude earthquake jolted 49 km east of Namie, Japan at 0929 GMT on Saturday, the US Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 36.85 km, was initially determined to be at 37.3968 degrees north latitude and 141.5478 degrees east longitude.
