Mum Makes Breakfast Poetry For Daughter
Jiang Yaqin daily makes breakfast depicting classical Chinese poetry for her eight-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Sanqin Daily reported.
Jiang, in her thirties, came up with the idea to balance nutrition and stimulate appetite over a year ago as her daughter was then a picky eater.
At first, she copied breakfast from photos found online.
Then she came up with the idea of fairy tales or cartoon figures and prepared the ingredients a day earlier. She made breakfast at 5:30am, an hour before her daughter got up from bed.
Jiang tried to integrate elements such as ancient poetry, traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy into her breakfast designs. She also taught her daughter about Chinese paintings when she had breakfast.
Jiang said breakfast could inspire children. Her friends also admire what she is doing.
