A farmer in his 60s from Fushun City in north China’s Liaoning Province has built on his own a diesel-powered armored jeep.

The man, surnamed Jiang, built this vehicle without any blueprint except a Willys Jeep model in 1 to 18 ratio. A real Willys Jeep looks like this.

Most of the car parts including air inlet, lamp holes, lappet and fender are all made by his bare hands.

The jeep is equipped with a fuel tank, spare wheel and also a collision-avoider. Altogether, it cost him about 2,000 yuan (US$313).

Worth a deal ... Isn't it?

Zhang Shengwu from Ma’anshan in east China’s Anhui Province is also good at building mechanical things. He made a submarine by himself in around two months.

The submarine weighing 2 tons is 6 meters in length and 1.2 to 1.5 meters in height. With a displacement of 3 tons, it can pick up a speed of up to 7 nautical miles per hour. Inside water, it can dive up to a depth of nearly 1 meter.

To maintain the oxygen supply in the cabin, Zhang has built an inside airway tube. He spent more than 5,000 yuan to build it.
