Betrothed couples choosing a bus as a new choice of wedding vehicle
Engaged couples have not been slow to catch the bus as they map out a life together in the future.
Prospective newly-weds are taking advantage of a new innovative way to get their guests to the wedding ceremony on time – by bus.
An electric bus service, for weddings, has been launched in Ganzhou, southeast China’s Jiangxi Province. The wedding bus rental service, who initially ran a successful two-month trial operation, has now launched the business full time.
The service charges 520 yuan (US$76) for five hours and 80 yuan for every extra hour after that. The expense includes pay for driver and fuel costs.
The original, 8.2-meter long bus was decorated with slogans depicting love and flowers on July 3 in preparation, although couples can decorate the bus themselves as long as they don’t distract the driver’s vision.
The service is a perfect vehicle to get friends and relatives to the wedding celebration parade on time and with a minimum of fuss.
The enterprise aims to advocate a simple wedding without conspicuous waste.
