MCM opts for bold and daring ready-to-wear clothes

MCM’S spring/summer 2015 collection has loads of bold and daring looks among its leather goods and ready-to-wear clothes for both men and women.

Showcasing the collection with its “Game on! Diamond Land” show in Beijing recently, MCM has been heavily inspired by diamonds.

MCM’s signature creativity has been expressed via a range of graphic diamond patterns in acid-bright colors like deep pink, popsicle orange and yellow — a vibrant, 21st-century update of the label’s classic Visetos pattern.

Loads of prints adorn totes, backpacks and small leather goods. Cognac brown prints are brought to life with splashes of fuchsia and persimmon while a simple white print gets a jolt with hues of army blue and pale pink. The results provide a powerful graphic language familiar to MCM fans.

The collection offers unique style statements from the quietly graceful to the absolutely audacious. The “Milla” tote serves as a stylish option with electric yellow, blue and red versions as well as more subdued tones in rose tan, golden apricot and concrete gray.

On the other end of the spectrum the “Bebe Boo” ultra-mini backpack pushes the boundaries of style and utility with a strap design that allows it to be worn as either a knapsack, cross-body, shoulder or waist bag.

Overall, the collection is designed to be versatile so customers can mix and match outfits and wear them for various occasions.
