TED talks for kids at Natural History Museum

IF you think TED talks are mostly dedicated to adults, you’re wrong! This upcoming Saturday, a themed TED talk at Shanghai Natural History Museum will be held for kids aged between 6 and 15. The event aims to attract some 200 children with their parents.

Twelve young speakers from 8 to 16-years-old will share their insights, thinking and stories on the stage. In this three-hour inspiring talk show, the audience will know about a girl named Bai Yufan, 10, who drew 103 cats in seven days and also gave each a name. Then there is talkative boy called Wang Siwei, 11, who is going to share his “strange” ideas with you. Tang Yuqing, 14, loves reading and writing and has uploaded her own novels to the Internet, totaling around 200,000 words in both English and Chinese.

Please note that the event is free to participate in, although booking online is required for an e-ticket at the entrance. Children under 18 are required to be accompanied by an adult.
