Illustrious artist celebrates feminity in ‘Muse’ exhibition
FAMOUS Chinese photographer Zhang Haier has set up a new exhibition with a theme of women, at the Shanghai Center of Photography.
The photographer has named the exhibit “Muse” as he explores experiments with portraiture. Zhang believes a “Muse” could refer to a place, a single person or a series of individuals. But there is no question the well-known figure in photography is celebrating the female figure, for the femininity and natural allure.
Zhang is recognized for a steadfast devotion to style and content, which has evolved throughout a 30-year career, which started in the mid-1980s. A common attitude of holding on to oneself is shared throughout his work, be it sorrow, joy or pain.
