Warnock back as Palace coach
NEIL Warnock was hired by Crystal Palace yesterday for his second spell as the manager of the Premier League club.
Palace has been without a manager since Tony Pulis quit two days before the start of the new season.
The 65-year-old Warnock, who has signed a two-year deal, spent 2 1/2 years at Palace from 2007-10. He has been without work since leaving Leeds United in April 2013.
Warnock has coached 13 clubs since 1980 and has experience managing in the Premier League with Queens Park Rangers and Sheffield United.
Palace has lost its first two games of the season, to Arsenal and West Ham.
Warnock is one of the English game’s most colorful and outspoken characters but will be viewed as a conservative choice by Palace, whose aim this season is to preserve its top-flight status.
Warnock’s first match in his second stint in charge of Palace is against Newcastle United on Saturday.
