Experience Anfield at Pudong

LIVERPOOL FC legends will show up at the LFC World set up at the River Mall opposite the China Art Museum in Pudong New Area over the week to meet and interact with local fans.

At LFC World, fans can relive and experience the atmosphere at the club’s iconic home stadium Anfield through VR technology, take on a robot goalkeeper for shooting game and get autographs from former players like Robbie Fowler, John Barnes, Luis Garcia and Sami Hyypia.

Former England midfielder Barnes made his first trip to China and Shanghai way back in 1982 when he played for Watford in a friendly match against the Chinese national team in front of some 30,000 fans.

“We know China’s football has had a kind of revelation in the past three to four years in terms of players coming to China. Once upon a time you used to see players coming to China at the end of their career. But now you see players coming in their 20s, which is fantastic,” the Reds legend said.

“If I was 10 years younger, I would definitely have come (and joined a Chinese club),” the 53-year-old added.
