Froch retires aged 38
FOUR-TIME world champion Carl Froch retired from boxing yesterday after more than a year out of the ring.
The 38-year-old super middleweight twice won the WBC title, as well as taking the WBA and IBF belts. He won 33 of his 35 fights, with 24 of those coming by knockout. He last fought George Groves in an all-British bout at Wembley in May 2014. Since that victory, an attempted fight with Julio Chavez Jr in Las Vegas fell through.
