Shenzhen to hold 5th round of CASL action despite the final 2 spots already sealed

CHINA Arena Football League (CAFL) will hold the fifth round of matches at the Shenzhen University Games Center, Guangdong Province, this weekend.

Though the top seeds of the inaugural tournament has already been decided after last week’s fourth round matches in Guangzhou, the six teams will treat local fans to some enthralling action.

On Saturday, Dalian Dragon Kings will challenge Shanghai Skywalkers for the early 2pm match. Dalian has yet to record its first victory in the tournament. Beijing Lions will take on Guangzhou Power for the 7pm the same day. Beijing is the only undefeated team out of the six. On Sunday, hosts Shenzhen will play Qingdao Clippers at 3pm.

Located in Shenzhen’s Longgang District, Shenzhen University Games Center was the venue of the 26th World University Games. Its majestic gymnasium can hold a crowd of 18,000 people, one of the largest in the country.

The CAFL final, or “China Bowl,” will be held in Shanghai on November 6, with Qingdao taking on Beijing.
