MMA contest makes debut at Baoshan stadium

DRAGON Fighting Championship, a mixed martial arts competition, will make its debut at Shanghai Baoshan Indoor Stadium today.
The 11-fight event will gather fighters from six countries, including Brazil’s Santosmarques Alison and Tokov Vladimir of Russia, who will exchange skills in the 70-kilogram main fight for a golden belt at that level. In the 77kg star fight, Russia’s Romanchuk Mikhail will take on Shodiboev Farrukhbek of Uzbekistan. The event also features a four-person 61kg mini competition. Chinese fighters Huo Sitan and Wu Xiaolong will take on Tajikistan’s Sobirov Fatkhidin and Desouzamelo Kelvynmurillo of Brazil, respectively, in the opening two fights. The winners will then meet in a 61kg golden belt champion fight later in the evening.
