‘Zombies’, promoting park's Halloween event, frighten Wuhan subway riders
People wearing zombie make-up yesterday scared passengers on a Metro train in Wuhan, capital of central Hubei Province.
The “zombies” were promoting an amusement park’s Halloween event, Wuhan Morning Post reported.
Several female passengers were scared and shouted.
A passenger surnamed Li told the newspaper she saw about 10 “zombies” wearing Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) clothes on a Metro Line 2 train yesterday afternoon. Though they tried to have fun and amuse passengers, some women were frightened.
Li added they handed out leaflets promoting a Halloween event.
They got off at Hongshan Square Station after Metro train employees intervened, the report said.
The city’s Metro train operator said they wouldn’t be banned from taking the trains because they were also passengers, but added it did not condone their actions.
