Ocean Park seeking to frighten you

HONG Kong Ocean park said yesterday that its Halloween Fest from October 5 to 31 this year will be its biggest yet, with 11 haunted attractions and 12 experiences.

Vivian Lee, executive director of business development and education of the Park, told reporters “as we celebrate Hong Kong Ocean Park’s 40th anniversary, this year’s Halloween Fest is our largest ever, offering a unique style of thrills and chills never seen before.”

Lee said a highlight of the event will be the movie-themed attraction where “Saw,” one of the most famous horror films, will come to life at Ocean Park for the first time.

Guests can immerse themselves in terrifying experiences recreated from the films that make up the horror franchise.

Eva Au Yeung, the event and entertainment director of Ocean Park, said this year’s Halloween Fest would have four attractions — Scary Attractions, Phobia Experience, Transforming Attraction and a family-friendly Spooky Attraction.

Lee estimated that there would be about 1 million visitors coming to Halloween Fest 2017, the same number as the event attracted last year.
