Female rider killed as scooter collides with trash truck in Nanjing

A woman was killed during a crash between a scooter and a trash truck this before noon in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, the local media reported.

A witness reportedly said a scooter collided with a trash truck about 11am today in front of a hotel in downtown Nanjing. An explosion was heard following the crash and the vehicles soon went on fire, according to the witness.

The female scooter rider was killed on the scene while the truck driver suffered burns and had been rushed to hospital.
