A woman delivered a baby girl in a taxi in Songjiang District, Xinmin Evening News reported.
The woman, 31, lives in Jiuting Town and already has an 8-year-old kid.
On August 24, the woman, who was 38 weeks pregnant, was on her way to the hospital. Twenty minutes after getting into a taxi, she delivered a baby girl.
The taxi rushed them to the Shanghai General Hospital where Doctor Long Zhi operated on her.
She still remains in hospital while the newborn has been kept under a close watch.
