Missing girl found drowned in river in Pudong

A 13-year-old girl in Chuansha town, Pudong, who went missing after school on Monday was found dead in a river on Tuesday evening, police said in a statement.
Preliminary investigation showed that she was probably drowned, according to the police.
"Her clothes were not torn, and we found no traces of violence on her," police said.
Police found the dead body of a girl in the river at about 10pm after they got a report that there was a schoolbag near the Sanxing River Bridge near the intersection of Chuanzhou Highway and Huadong Road, and then confirmed that it was the missing girl.
Previously police told Shanghai Daily that the girl, surnamed Hu, was probably unhappy about reprimands from her teacher.
