Man arrested over sex video blackmail

A MAN has been arrested for using sex videos to extort 10,000 yuan (US$1,454) from his ex-girlfriend, Minhang District prosecutors said.

The suspect surnamed Ye, 30, needed money, so he blackmailed his former girlfriend surnamed Wang, who broke up with him in 2015 and married another man last year, they said. Ye posted a sex video last month.

Afraid her husband would see, she paid. She then called police, who soon caught him.
