Holiday dates announced

THE seven-day holiday for the Spring Festival next year will start from the Lunar New Year’s Eve, the State Council has announced. The Chinese New Year Day, the Year of the Goat, falls on February 19 next year. The seven-day holiday will therefore start from February 18 until February 24. February 15, the last Sunday before the holiday, as well as February 28, will be a working day. Also, January 1 to January 3, 2015, has been declared a three-day New Year holiday with normal work resuming from January 4, the first Sunday after the holiday. Those who do overtime on the holiday will be paid three times their day wage.
