Cyclist killed in truck crash

A woman cyclist was killed yesterday on Dong’an Road in Xuhui District after being dragged under the wheels of a cement truck.
The incident happened about 10am outside the Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center. According to witnesses, the driver appeared unaware of hitting the bicycle and continued to drive before being flagged to stop. The emergency services were called but the woman was declared dead at the scene. Police are investigating.
