Consumer complaints decline 16%
THE city received nearly 27,000 complaints from consumers in the third quarter this year, down 16 percent from the year-earlier period, Shanghai Consumer Council said yesterday.
About 44 percent of the complaints concerned products, with the remainder all being service related.
Complaints over tourist related services declined 41 percent to 3,041 cases.
However, there was a big rise in complaints about cultural and entertainment services, housing repairs and online games — up respectively 61, 45 and 32 percent.
