A man suspected of raping his neighbor after she asked to stay in his house has been arrested, prosecutors in Songjiang District said. According to prosecutors, the intoxicated victim allegedly returned home at dawn on April 8 but failed to find her keys. She then told her friend to deliver the keys to her and asked the neighbor to let her stay in his home. The man allegedly raped her after she fell asleep and she reported it to police after waking up. The suspect denies that the sex was non-consensual, but prosecutors said there was sufficient evidence to proceed with the case.
