Yan’an tunnel to close

THE Yan’an Road E. tunnel will be closed to traffic traveling from Pudong to Puxi between March 14 and January next year, the Shanghai Transport Commission said. The development project will result in increased congestion along several main roads in Huangpu District and the Pudong New Area, including Renmin Road, Henan Road, Huaihai Road, Xizang Road, Dongchang Road and Zhangyang Road, it said. While the tunnel is closed, drivers should allow an extra 25 to 30 minutes to get from Pudong to Puxi via alternative routes, the commission said.
