Showers forecast until Sunday

A WARMER mid-April than usual was recorded this year by the city weather bureau, with an average daily temperature of 16 degrees Celsius — 0.9 degrees higher than in recent years.

Although wet weather is expected to return today, temperatures will not change much for the remainder of this week. Highs up to Sunday will range from between 19 and 22 degrees, with lows of 14 to 16 degrees.

But Monday is likely to see the high reach 24 degrees as skies clear.

There is a chance of light showers in northern parts of Shanghai today, while thundershowers are forecast tomorrow and Saturday. Gusty winds are expected today and tomorrow.

Dark clouds should disperse on Sunday, for a sunny start to next week.
