Startup ‘incubator’ welcomes 28 firms
A NEW business park for startup companies opened for business yesterday in Minhang District.
As well as offering subsidized premises, “NeoBay” provides young entrepreneurs with a range of professional services covering such things as finance, taxation and legal issues, according to a press release.
Experts from the three organizations behind the project — the district government, Jiao Tong University and Shanghai Real Estate Group — will also be on hand to provide advice so new business owners can remain focused on their core operations, it said.
The operators of NeoBay said that they hope to attract about 200 startups from around the country before the end of the year.
Among the 28 that registered yesterday were the developers of a health and fitness app, a company that builds drones for spraying pesticides on farms, and a firm that provides data analysis of public WeChat accounts, the release said.
