Charity seeks funds for girl with bowel disease
THE China Charities Aid Foundation for Children has set up a donation platform for a 3-month-old girl suffering from inflammatory bowel disease.
The child is believed to be the youngest person in China to be diagnosed with the life-threatening condition. She is receiving treatment at the Children’s Hospital of Fudan University. The only cure is a stem cell transplant, but this costs 200,000 yuan (US$32,200) and is beyond the means of her family.
