Woman found alive in mortuary freezer

A worker at a funeral parlor in Jiading District got the shock of her life when she found a woman alive in its mortuary, the district TV station reported yesterday.
The unidentified woman had gone to the parlor early on Thursday morning and had lain down in a freezer, covering herself with a quilt, in an apparent suicide attempt.
A female member of staff noticed the freezer had been left half open and discovered the woman, believed to be in her 70s, very much alive. The freezer was powered off so the woman had not been harmed.
The report said she suffered from depression and had tried to commit suicide many times before.
