Man commits suicide after allegedly killing girlfriend

A 26-year-old committed suicide at his alma mater on Monday after he allegedly killed his girlfriend the day before.

A student found the man hanging from the ceiling in a stairwell on the Jiading campus of Shanghai Xinqiao Polytechnic College on Monday morning and reported to the police, Xinmin.cn reported today.

The man was suspected of killing his girlfriend on Sunday after they fought over relationship problems, police revealed later.

Police said they are still investigating the case.
