French embassy kicks off entrepreneur competition for Chinese who have studied in France

AN entrepreneur competition was kicked off by the French embassy over the weekend to encourage Chinese people who have studied in France to start up their own businesses.

The competition were launched in Beijing in the previous two years and moved to Shanghai this year as half of the 50 previous participants were from Shanghai, said Siegfried Fau, director of the Shanghai center of Campus France, the French national agency for the promotion of higher education and international student services.

Any Chinese citizens who have studied in France and joined in the club for Chinese oversea students are eligible to attend the event with their business programs before officially registering their companies。

The final winner will win 50,000 yuan of sponsorship from the French embassy, as well as trainings, subsidies on office rental and opportunities of having lunch with investors.

To win the prize, participants have to register on the website of the event (http://pecf.clubfrancechine.org/) before August 12 and five finalists with face interviews in Shanghai in September.
