Community goes high-tech to improve services for residents

Jiangqiao Community in Jiading District has adopted a Siri-like computer program to provide consultation to residents regarding 193 services ranging from social insurance, employment and family planning registration.

Residents can visit the community center or access the program through the community’s website or on WeChat.

The Xiao i Robot software, developed by Shanghai Zhizhen Network Technology Co, answers questions and makes sure residents go to the appropriate service counter for further assistance.

Community officials said it’s convenient and reduces the number of employees needed on duty at the center.
