Railway testing
HANGCHANG High-Speed Railway will begin equipment tests now that its power system is operational, according to the project contractor.
The railway from Hangzhou to Changsha, capital of Hunan Province, was built according to the highest national standards. The 927-kilometer route runs across Zhejiang, Jiangxi and Hunan provinces. A trip from Hangzhou to Changsha will take about four hours.
The new railway is expected to start trial runs in December.
