Confucius worship

TWO ceremonies commemorating the 2,565th anniversary of the birth of Confucius took place in Hangzhou over the weekend. One was held at Hangzhou Confucius Temple and the other at Wansong Academy.
The annual ceremony at the temple comprised four parts — reading the Analects of Confucius, presenting flower baskets, giving the worship speech and bowing to the ancient saint. Many attendees were from the Kong family, who are descendents of the respected philosopher.
