SVEA serves up true Nordic fare

A NEW Nordic sensation is coming to Ruihong Xintiandi, bringing Northern Europe’s fresh, elegant and unique cuisine to Shanghai in a simple yet sophisticated setting.

Located at 188 Ruihong Road, SVEA is a typical Nordic style eatery where a simplistic and modern interior meets clean, freshly cut lines. The head chef at SVEA, Tobias Olsson, aims to indulge his guests with a true taste of Swedish cooking by combining fresh ingredients with traditional cooking methods. Rich crayfish soup, raw fried lobster and juniper cured venison are among the must-try dishes.

SVEA’s traditional Swedish meatballs are made from equal parts fresh minced pork shoulder and rump beef, served with a creamy gravy, potato puree and accompanied with lightly sweetened lingonberries and pickled cucumber. The restaurant also has an extensive wine list that serves wine from around the world.
