Cirque du Soleil’s kid-friendly show lands in Shanghai

“kooza,” an acclaimed circus production by Cirque du Soleil, the world’s leading producer of spectacular live entertainment, is being staged in Shanghai.

Since its debut in Canada in 2007, the show, telling a story about a vagrant, has traveled to 18 countries and regions. This is the first time that it is presented in China.

With stunning visual effects, lavish scenes and costumes, the show is a display of amazing acrobatics and clown art.

Audiences will be treated to aerial hoop acts, highwire walking and balancing on chairs.

The show is directed by David Shiner, who used to work as a clown in Cirque du Soleil’s production “Nouvelle Experience.”

After Shanghai performances, “KOOZA” will go to Beijing in December.
