Model-makers display their handiwork

SHANGHAI Mass Art Center is now hosting an exhibition of works from talented local model-makers.
The showcase features a variety of finely wrought models depicting everything from characters in the “Transformers” series to World War II era tanks and soldiers.
Experienced hobbyists from local model-making clubs will be on hand to share their expertise and meet with other enthusiasts.
Alex Wang, a local office worker in his 30s, says he has been making models as a hobby for about a decade.
“My six-year-old son has also shown an interest in this hobby,” Wang says. “The exhibition offers us a chance to learn more about the development of the art. Model making is difficult and time-consuming, but it’s a lot of fun.”
