One journey ends, another begins

Graduation is usually associated with caps, gowns, achievement awards, countless handshakes of people telling you how proud they are, followed by numerous parties. Everything happens so fast and the moment you finally catch your breath, it is over.

It is one of these things you look forward to for months, something you dreamed of since you were a little kid and day-dreamed about while dozing off in class and could not have seemed farther away, but somehow when the time comes, it all happens in a heartbeat and after that it just simply seems like a distant memory.

Graduation is a wonderful moment. It is the day you celebrate your achievements, success, your journey — you celebrate yourself. However, it can bring mixed emotions. It can make you happy, excited, sad, anxious all at the same time. For me it truly was a bittersweet moment. I was beyond happy to have completed a chapter of my life and on the verge of starting a new one, but I was filled with sadness, as I had to say goodbye to the loved ones who were there to support me throughout the years.

But that’s what I believe life is all about. It is all about chapters, beginning and completing them. Embarking on different adventures, meeting new people, creating relationships but also saying goodbye to them, too.

Graduation is far beyond caps, gowns and awards. It’s about the person you have become, and most importantly it is about what you make of your journey.
