Fighting to the very end

FROM the first day I picked up the golf club at the age of three, I knew that this sport would stick with me forever; I was in love with the feeling of gripping. My dad warned me that golf not only tests your ability to play the game but requires perseverance and the ability to cope with pressure.

Recently I participated in the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce tournament. I started off the day with back injuries and I was seriously considering withdrawing from the tournament but that would mean I had backed off a challenge. So no, I played. I played in pain. I played hard. As I signed off my scorecard, the reality hit me: I realized, out of almost 50 people, I’d won.
