Three district teams perform well in global quiz

THREE Putuo teams made up of students and teachers snatched two gold and one silver medals in the 2016 Global Natural History Day Quiz Final while Dai Jian from the Putuo Juniors Activity Center was named one of China’s top 10 natural science teachers.
The quiz contest was organized by the Global Health and Education Foundation, Shanghai Science Education Development Foundation and Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation.
More than 300 teams from the US, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and China took part in the contest.
Global Natural History Day was initiated by Behring’s Global Health and Education Foundation in 2012.
This year’s theme “Who is whose who” was intended to stimulate children to explore the relationships of all living things in nature.
Putuo sent 22 teams to join the quiz training and competition and three teams reached the final round.
Putuo has participated in the contest for five years and won five gold medals and five silver medals.
