Cycling race launches Year of Culture for Enterprises

A cycling race on March 4 launched the Year of Culture for Enterprises in Jiading District, as more than 200 cyclists set off from the intersection of Hengfei Road and Yuchuan Road in Waigang Town.
There were also farm work relay and mud jigsaw puzzle activities at the halfway stage. Feng Shimei, a woman in her 60s’ not only took part in the cycling but also joined the relay.
Feng hoped that more such activities be held to “have some fun after work.” Many senior executives at local enterprises agreed that such activities were a good way to cultivate team spirit.
It is the first time that Jiading has hosted activities in the year of culture for local enterprises. At district level there are 10 activities throughout the year including a photography contest in spring, matchmaking in summer, relay races in autumn and a cultural forum in winter.
Apart from district level activities, the Jiading government cooperates with industrial parks, office buildings, business circles and communities to hold all sorts of activities. Township authorities, government agencies and state-owned units also take part. The district state-owned assets supervision and administration committee plans activities including a chairman forum and entrepreneur salon to boost the cultural development of state-owned enterprises in Jiading.
