ALL the buses on downtown streets will use electric, LNG (liquefied natural gas) or hybrid engines to improve environment and save energy by the end of the year.
In Hangzhou there are 4,483 new-energy buses, accounting for 90.26 percent of the total buses in operation. Among the 4,483 new-energy buses, 1,978 are pure electric buses, 1,604 are LNG buses and 901 are hybrid buses. Currently more than 4 million people take public transport every day.
