Georgia lands China with the world’s largest coffee mosaic

A total of 6,045 cups of coffee made into one mosaic jigsaw puzzle in Shanghai Super Brand Mall on Friday by Georgia Coffee, the coffee beverage brand of the Coca-Cola Company, to celebrate the brand’s new landing in China.

The display was listed successfully into the Guinness World Records as “the Largest Coffee Mosaic.” The brand name and the outline of coffee aroma could be seen between the contrast of light and dark coffee from a bird’s eye view.

Georgia, which is named after Coca-Cola’s home state of Georgia, was first launched in Japan in 1975 and then become one of the most well known ready-to-drink coffee brands with seasonal flavors.

According to Coca-Cola, Georgia is one of the 17 brands with annual sales of more than US$1 billion globally and has expanded in Singapore and South Korea. The brand started sales on China’s mainland in October.

“We are very excited to introduce Georgia ready-to-drink coffee in China. The launch of coffee reflects very active efforts to bring exciting innovations in the beverage market in China. This year, apart from coffee, we have successfully launched Schweppes+C, Shui Dong Le, Ice Dew Chun Yue and Sprite Icy Mint,” said David G. Brooks, executive vice president of Coca-Cola Greater China and Korea. “The two flavors of Georgia are tailor-made for Chinese consumers. We believe Georgia coffee is one more winning product in the exciting Coca-Cola product portfolio of beverages in China.”
