Expo’s giant innovative leap for mankind

CHINA International Import Expo showcases cutting-edge technologies, from flying cars to smartphone-controlled coffee machines to high-tech cameras.

AeroMobil

AeroMobil has sent a 720-kilogram flying car to the import expo, which will make its debut in Asia for the first time tomorrow.

The flying car was developed by AeroMobil, a Slovakian advanced engineering company.

Integrating innovation in automotive and aerospace fields, the car with wings applies automotive safety standards together with lightweight materials and advanced aerodynamics.

This will provide owners with true freedom of movement in the air and on the ground, providing electric propulsion on the road coupled with a lightweight internal combustion engine to provide propulsion in the air.

“AeroMobil is incredibly excited to attend the China International Import Expo to explore opportunities in the Chinese market," Juraj Vaculik, co-founder and chief executive officer of AeroMobil, said.

"We believe that the Chinese government is highly ambitious and possesses a clear vision to use innovative technologies to modernize its transportation infrastructure,"

The China International Import Expo has set aside over 30,000 square meters of exhibition space to vehicles and car-related products.

Major automobile manufacturers and auto parts makers such as General Motors, Volkswagen and Tesla will also showcase their latest products and technologies during the import expo between November 5-10.

Sony’s RX0

A total of 80 Sony cameras with bullet-time showing features, home theater devices with top sound and image quality and the latest audio products with noise canceling and water-proof functions will be on show during the CIIE.

Described as “Packing legendary qualities into minimal form,” Sony’s RX0 cameras allow people to look at the world in a new way.

The flexibly shaped RXO camera offers freedom and possibility to all photographers.

The bullet-time shooting show presented by a cluster of RX0 cameras, which has attracted much attention from the shutterbug crowd, will gather again this time.

This will be a fantastic and innovative photographic experience brought by 80 sets of RX0 cameras during the CIIE.

As one of the leading brands in the consumer electronics market, Sony looks forward to taking this opportunity to showcase development in the Chinese market, with demands for high-tech and consumption upgrading.

Zeiss’ devices for vision care

As an international pioneer in the fields of optics and optoelectronics, Zeiss will showcase their latest products and services in vision care and controlling myopia at the CIIE.

In the “Health China” area of CIIE, the Zeiss Archive of Refractive Development database will be exhibited, which has been set for years to control myopia. Moreover, Zeiss will also show several cutting-edge devices including the upcoming CLARUS 500 as well as VISUFIT 1000, equipped with nine HD cameras, to highlight its three-stage solutions for other eye diseases, proactive prevention, effective management and accurate correction.

Zeiss will also present its innovative lenses—MyoVision, which can help to slow down the progression of myopia. Zeiss’ exhibits will be on display in three areas, “Innovation China,” “Quality China” and “Health China,” to highlight the company’s innovative products and outstanding accomplishments in those fields.

DeLonghi’s ‘authentic’ Italian Espresso

Visitors can enjoy “authentic” Italian Espresso by smartphone or iPad control during the CIIE.

A new fully automatic coffee machine, which supports wireless connection and a professional coffee making application, will be displayed, said a DeLonghi developer.

The machine, called ECAM650.85.MS, is also equipped with 4.3-inch colored display with touch buttons to customize coffee taste for its various beverage choices, which include smooth ice coffee and dense hot chocolate.

China is now the company’s eighth regional market but it will be among the top five within three years, said the company’s managing director Zong Yanping, who will showcase the products in three brands — DeLonghi, Kenwood and Braun.

The company made its debut in the espresso coffee market in the early 1990s.

Taurus milling machine to be the largest exhibit

The 200-ton Taurus milling machine will be the largest exhibit at the China International Import Expo.

The machine, packed into 12 containers, was sent by Waldrich Coburg, a German machine tool manufacturer, from Hamburg. Liu Zhongbai, the company’s representative, said the machine can churn out high-accuracy micron-sized parts that can be used for automaking and in the aerospace industry.
