Swiftair confirms Air Algerie crash
SPANISH private airline company Swiftair has confirmed that one of its MD-83 aircraft operated by Air Algerie, has crashed in Niamey, the capital of Niger, on Thursday. Airport authorities lost contact with the Air Algerie flight, which was en route from Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso to Algiers, Algeria, with 110 passengers and six crew on board, 50 minutes after take-off, according to China's CCTV news.
