One dead, 8 missing in crash of boats in S. Korea

ONE has been confirmed dead, and eight still missing, in a crash of a fishing boat and a tug boat in waters off the South Korean southern city of Geoje, local broadcaster YTN reported Tuesday.
The boats crashed at around 4:35pm local time in waters southeast of the Geoje city, South Gyeongsang province, leaving one dead and eight missing. Two have been saved after the crash.
A total of 11 fishermen were on board of the sunken fishing boat. Coast guards and rescuers are conducting search operations.
Reckless sailing was estimated to have caused the incident, but the exact cause was under investigation.
