Man-bra goes on sale in Japan to help blokes with 'moobs'

GREAT news for blokes with "moobs" - the world's first "man-bra" has gone on sale, the Daily Mirror reported.

The special garment, available in Japan, promises "round-the-clock protection against the effects of gravity", the report said.

Called the Floral Goodnight Bra, and known in Japanese as the Kahei Oyasumi Bra, it also offers "much-needed support as you sleep", according to the report.

Kaku Nishioka, who sells the bra at his Tokyo shop, said: "It is something that not many men are aware of. But if a man has good pectoral muscles he is at just the same risk as a woman of having them gradually stretched and left out of shape."

In support of this bra, he said that a man who uses this bra at night would surely be looking good next morning because everything would be held firmly in place.

There is also matching underwear designed to make sure man's best friend can be held firmly in place, the report said.

The bra and pants come in a floral pattern of pink, yellow and lime green - not exactly the colours that the average weight lifter would be interested in, according to the report.

Some have criticised the science behind the bra, saying the only way to ensure a firm chest was actually through regular exercise, the report said.

The matching bra and panties are available online in extra small, small and medium and cost about £18 (US$30), according to the report.
