A black Labrador in the US city of Seattle has learned a new trick - she walks herself at the dog park. And she gets there by bus without her owner.

Two-year-old Eclipse just wants to get to the dog park. And if her owner takes too long, she takes the bus solo.

"The dog gets off at the stop at the dog park and gets off the bus, and I just look out the window and I'm like, did that just happen," says a man.

Eclipse and her owner, Jeff Young, live right near the bus stop.

One day, she got impatient waiting for Jeff to finish his cigarette.  She hopped on the bus and rode to the park, 3 stops away.

Young says it now happens regularly.

"We get separated. She gets on the bus without me. And I catch up with her at the dog park." "She's been urbanised, totally. She's a bus-riding, side-walk walking dog," says Young.

Seldom is anyone on a crowded Seattle bus greeted with a big smile from fellow commuters. But there aren't many passengers like Eclipse.

"She makes everybody happy. How could you not love this face," says a woman.

"She sits here just like a person does. She's a person," says a woman.

Now if only she would pay her fare.
